October 1, 2006 Revaluation Process
- Assessment data was converted to the Vision Appraisal Technology computer assisted mass appraisal software in June 2006.
- Data Collection of Sales Properties and Building Permits will be on going thru October 2006.
- Data Verification Mailers to be sent to all real property owners in October 2006.
- Market analysis, valuation and review of values early spring through November 2006.
- Notices of new preliminary values are to be mailed in November 2006.
- Informal hearings conducted with Vision Appraisal to follow immediately.
- Results of informal hearings mailed to all who appealed and any other property values that were adjusted during the hearing and review process.
- Board of Assessment Appeal Applications will be available in the Assessor’s Office on February 1, 2007. Completed written applications must be returned to the Assessor’s Office no later than February 20, 2007.
- Board of Assessment Appeals will schedule individual hearings in March 2007.
- Board of Assessment Appeals decisions mailed in April 2007.
- Town Budget process on going from February to May 2007.
- Mill Rate established immediately following budget ratification in May 2007.
- Tax Bills based on new assessments and new Mill Rate mailed in June 2007.
- Tax Bills due and payable on July1, 2007.
